"Makes sense I guess," I say as Page says Glover is probably asleep, it has been a pretty long day after all, it feels like its been three weeks almost (kappa). "Me? Oh I dabble in most everything for fun, but running is what I actually compete in." I respond when he asks about my specializations in track and field.

“Running? Props to you for that, the most running I did was when I played baseball back home” I tell her. “Then again, being an outfielder doesn’t require much running, save for chasing pop-flies.” I chuckle to myself. Then I remember the ninth inning choke. Ouch. “Gibson and Pico are saving a couple of seats, care to join us?”

"Baseball huh? Wouldn't take you for the sports type," I respond "and sure I guess I'll join you." I say as I take a seat with him and his Pokemon.

"So, you have to write an essay on your starter as well huh?" I ask Page as I eat my dinner (just went with a meatball sub).

“Yeah, a lot of people tell me that when I bring up baseball. I was into it until the coaches started making all the players sign this stupid pledge - basically signing away our free will. I hate that.” As we work on our food, Sheena asks about the essay I have to do. “Yeah, gotta observe how they behave, what makes ‘em tick and all that jazz.” I put up my index finger and mock a scientist making an observation. “I have observed that ‘Pico’, the Lotad provided to me by a Professor Lillith Fuyu of Kobukan Academy, is of a Quirky nature, observant of its surroundings, as well as…” I stop for a moment as Pico snags a piece of chicken. I pick him up and he smiles sheepishly. “...quite a porker.” I put him down and pet him. “I think that’s an award-winning essay” I say as I smile and nod. I then shrug. “Then again, I’m no Professor Juniper, so I wouldn’t know.” Gibson rolls his eyes, so I flick his ear in jest. “You’re not supposed to agree, buddy.”

It seems her Aipom was quite in a worrying state so she left before I could answer. Now that I think about it, I didn't thought of a name yet. I let her hop on my shoulder as I head to the dorm. I should start to write that essay on it before the Track and field meeting happen.
I look at the sky. They say it's going to snow, but... I guess we wont run today. Still, I'll take my sport clothes in a bag for them.

I let George explore the dorm room for a bit before letting out Ashes and Cube. Surprising enough, they got along well together. I would occasional check up on them while I looked at recipes online and found that George was sitting on Cube's head and playing with Ashes' ears. I would be lying if I said that it wasn't a cute sight.

After writing down some new stuff, I went over to my room mates bed. They wouldn't be needing it so I had decided to use the blankets and pillow to make a few tiny beds for the gang. Surprisingly, Ashes and Cube looked real tired while George was still hopping about, inspecting every little detail in the room. He sure was a curious little guy.

I laugh a little at Page's mockery of a scientist, but more so at Gibson's agreement with him. "Yeah I got pretty lucky with my Meowth, he's different than my Purrloin is, but they are still both cats so they have some things in common, so it was pretty easy to write up my paper." I say in between bites of my sandwich. "I doubt your teacher expects you to know everything on day one though." I finish up with the end of my sandwich.

I smile as Sheena laughs at my silly impression. “Always good to see good fortune coming your way,” I concur. I put my chopsticks down, scratching behind Gibson’s ears and petting Pico on his head. “I think if us three work at it, it should be alright.” I smile as I trade glances with my Pokémon. “I remember my Nana having a few feline Pokémon as well - always so playful, I remember” I reminisce as I finish the last of my food. “It’d be cool if you show me your Pokémon sometime, set Gibson & Pico on play dates, huh?” I chuckle at the thought. “Wanna walk with me? I’m trying to kill some time before it gets dark.”

I check my phone to see the time. "Well I'm supposed to be going to a meeting for track and field right about now, but I think I'll bounce on that. I mean it is the first day of class so signups aren't even finished yet, not like they can have much going on today anyways. So sure sounds good to me." I respond as I get up and throw my trash away then follow Page.

"Repeat after me, Ho-oh!" I sternly said the bird in front of me with a blank expression. I had tried for the past hour to try and get this thing to transform into a Ho-oh, but it had no results. I stared at it for longer than I could think. As I sat down on a bench, I ate my food while I stared at it, and I even fed it while I stared at it! Funny thing was, he stared right back. "You," I said pointing to the Pidgey,"Are brave as hell, dude! Almost nobody could stare at me for too long without breaking a sweat!" I give it a friendly slap on the back to have it cry in pain. "Oh no, that wasn't even hard, and see brave people like us," I leaned into its ears(or where I thought they were)"We don't get hurt." I break out Achilles to play with the Pidgey."Venti, that's what I'll call you!" I let Achilles bump around the poor Pidgey who didn't stand a chance!

They fought for a bit, as I took a lap and then, with Pokemon at my side, returned to my dorm room. I fished a new pair of clothes, put away Achilles and Venti, then took a shower and came back into the room. I carefully placed my sweaty clothes into Nix's bag, placing the sweaty parts riiight on her favorite dress. Hehe.
