I can feel my face glowing. I can hear a teacher come to tell me that I need to pull Dragonair into her Pokeball, but I know it'll be futile. Her ball is made to let her run out at any moment so if she needs medical care, she could use it at any time. I do need to get Dragonair out of here, so I look up to the last person left at the table to apologize. "Yeah sorry about this Chlo-" I internally facepalm. She hasn't introduced herself, the only reason I know her name is cause I eavesdropped like a weirdo. I decide the only course of action is to grab my bag and bolt out the cafeteria. I leave Dragonair behind, but she's a big girl, she knows how to find me.

I run to the field, I need to exercise before it gets too late anyways. I get there and instantly strip and reveal my work out clothes underneath. I go to the equipment room and grab what I need to set up the vaults. I put my bag next to the room, on a bench to make sure the egg is out of trouble, and get to work. The light drizzle is a bit annoying when it gets in my eyes, but I start the routine anyways.

Zak's comment managed to stop my guffaw and replace it with a slight blush. I hate it when guys pretend that another guy likes me, it's embarrassing and just mean. I say goodbye to Matt and Glover as they leave, leaving me alone with the Dragonair boy and the guy who scolded Matt and Zak. When he apologises to me for his pokemon's interruption, I could have sworn he said my name. How would he know my name? I haven't even spoken to him before. He puts on his famous face of red and runs out of the cafeteria before I can say a word, so fast that he left behind his Dragonair. The guy is clearly annoyed that the boy didn't return it to his pokeball so I try to help "Don't worry, I'll return his Dragonair to him". I get up, approach the Dragonair and rub the back of its head "Hi there, do you have any idea where your trainer went?". As if there were an in built GPS in it, the Dragonair makes a beeline in the direction the boy left.

On our way there, I hear snoring from up above me. Poor Ulna must have gotten tuckered out by his little performance earlier. Dragonair seems to be headed for the field where it appears something's been set up. Either someone is inhuman at high jump or the equipment is set up for Pole Vault. Speak of the devil, I see a figure running towards the bar with a huge pole. He strikes it into the ground and ascends beautifully over the bar. Since Dragonair brought me here, I assume this is the same boy from before but now the fumbling mess's limbs seem to be going exactly where he wants them. I bring attention to myself and call out to him "Hey, you're really good!"

I begin my routine and start my vaults, when I see Dragonair and Chloe heading towards me. They don't matter right now, I think to myself, just this next vault in front of me, as I take another. Chloe tells me something to the effect of being good, which I reply to with a nod. My breathing is heavy and I begin to sweat, and since I have company now I decide to take a break. "She didn't cause too much trouble did she?" I ask as I nod towards Dragonair.

I pick up my water and chug it down as I keep talking,"Oh and sorry about earlier, I'm a bit of a doofus at times, haha!" I explain with a smile. Weirdly enough I wasn't blushing or anything, almost as if this exercise gave me confidence or something. "You look pretty sportsy yourself, if I say so, you into Pole Vaulting too?" I comment as I nod Dragonair towards the bag. The egg was alone and Dragonair was here now, so I could keep it closer.

After a few more vaults, he decides to come join us back down on Earth. He surprisingly has a lot more confidence than he did before. It must be because he feels like he's in his element or something like that. I look down towards his Dragonair, now knowing that she's a she "Nah, she was fine. She caused most of her chaos while you were there. She made a beeline straight to you when I asked where you were, you must spend a lot of time training on the field"

"It's fine, we can all be a doofus sometimes" I reply with a smile as well "I've had much worse introductions since I've come here than just being tripped up by a Dragonair". I recall meeting Lenyth and how much of a fiasco that was. "Pole Vault? Nah but you're pretty close" I explain "I'm into High Jump and Hurdles. I may not get as high as you might but at least it's all down to my jumping rather than how well I can hold a stick" With his newfound confidence, I'm sure he can take a little bit of teasing.

"Haha, well they're both certainly tough," I point towards the bench," Would you like to take a seat with me?" I take a look at her and remember that she probably didn't know my name quite yet. "Oh and its Jason by the way. Though I prefer Frog, guess ya could guess why, haha." I take a seat on the bench and take another drink of water. "Really now, YOU been in situations like that? Don't seem like the kind of person to derp too much, but uh," I look up, I guess I can TRY to keep a conversation going," What kind of things happened?" I say as I catch my breath, now back to its normal pace. Dragonair returns with the backpack and the egg is thankfully is still safe as I place it down next to me.

I accept his offer with a "Sure" and take a seat next to him "Nice to meet you Jason, or should I say Frog. I'm Chloe and this sleepy head up here is Ulna. Does your Dragonair have a name or will Dragonair do?". I laugh slightly when he says I wouldn't derp "Haha, you'd definitely be surprised. As for what happened, my roommate drew Ulna in a cape and he really wanted to see what it'd be like to have a cape. Unfortunately the only thing nearby that was capelike was the towel I was using. So lets just say that halfway through meeting my new roommate, it became far more intimate than I would have liked." What had seemed terrible at the time had thankfully become funny to me over time.

"Nah, I contemplated giving her a nickname, and I did, but she wouldn't listen to it so I just call her as she evolves. Little bugger is a demon, she can't right now, but if she could, she would be fighting every single Pokemon in sight, haha." I begin to drink my water as she tells the story of her roommate. I start to picture it when my face slightly reddens and I look away."Sorry, just uhh, funny to picture haha. So uh, what clubs you in? Got the cooking, battle or history anywhere in there? Cause I would sure love to have a cutie in there, haha." The last line slips out of my mouth as a thought I had in my mind that I hadn't said. I try to just mask it and just chug down the last of my water.

Matthew

I make my way outside, and the teacher isn't behind me at the moment, either I managed to give him the slip or he didn't care enough to follow me. When I get out there I notice a glimmer in the sky as the rain stops, and I see a brilliantly colored bird with a rainbow trailing behind it. damn that is a beautiful sight. Looking back down I notice Glover leaning over a railing also looking up at the bird.

"So, and keep in mind this is coming from me," I say as I walk up and lean over next to him "but your roommate is fucking nuts."

I look back up at the rainbow being left by the bird, now out of sight. "seriously though, what a day huh?"

There it is, the classic blush that we all know and love. When he lists his clubs though, I notice a distinct absence of the Track and Field Team. This shocked me so much that I couldn't even tell if he had said anything after it. "Wait a minute, are you not joining the Track and Field Team?! How are you not joining the team? You were amazing up there! You could win any competition with skills like that!" I exclaim "How else are you gonna improve if you're not gonna join the team?"

"Hmm, I don't really wanna join this one, I much prefer Tekig-," I cut off my sentences,"Well. I guess if I would want to practice, having a training buddy wouldn't be such a bad idea would it? Maybe someone called Chloe?" I say and raise my eyebrows. It was meant to be a tease, but her eyes light up like the lighthouse back in Olivine.
