"Speaking of harems..." I mutter under my breath. "...here they come." Probably time to jump ship actually. This guy means business and I might not survive a hit from him. "So~rry, my hand must've slipped." I speak with saccharine venom. "Try to be more careful." I turn around before muttering "...slut." and quickly escaping into the crowd.



Len
------

I take his hand and stand up. "I'm well enough." I sniffle. "I just was not ready for...that." I sigh. My face is wet, but my shawl ended up protecting my blouse. I unbutton my shawl and take it off. Normally I would prefer not to as it generally hides how lithe my body actually is. And, well, the fact that I am not nearly as curvaceous as most of the other ladies around me. I feel like I look like a child to be honest, but I need to protect my clothes from the water. "Oh dear," I sigh in defeat, "I just cannot catch any respite. My luck has been suspect since I have arrived here."

Matthew

"Fucking coward," I mutter back at the girl as she turns tail and runs at the first sign of danger. Something tells me Glover is better off having had his pickup line sizzle out. I turn back to Lenyth "Yeah well I get the feeling no one can be prepared for her, she seems like a real cun-" I stop short as I turn back to Lenyth. This is the first time I've actually seen her without some sort of a shawl on. I hadn't noticed just how slender she really is. It is rather fitting for her though, for one with such delicate mannerisms to have an equally delicate figure. I snap back quickly, hoping I wasn't admiring long enough to come off as odd.

"Anyways, I'm glad you're okay, but why did you apologize when she tripped you?"

Len
------

"U-um, it is embarrassing if you stare." I did not say it to be rude, but generally when people stare at me it is followed up with something embarrassing. "Anyways," I turn my tilt my head. "she tripped me? I must have been lost in musing." So is she a girl of malice then, I have not met many people like that. I appraise my shawl, it does not look serious, I shall just let it air dry. I did come here to eat after all. "I must thank you for your concern." I turn back towards Mr. Matt.

Glover
-----------

I wake up about an hour later, feeling oddly angry as a result of my newfound hunger. I grab my coat and head down to the student lounge for some supper. It’s getting crowded, but I manage to spot some familiar faces - Len, Matthew, and Page among them, but it looks like Len is...crying? I wonder to myself what that’s all about, so I resolve to see what the fuss is after I get my food. As I make my way past the crowd in the lounge, I bump into someone: it’s the girl from earlier today. We make eye contact and break it just as fast. I get it. You hate me. I shake my head and walk towards the line.

Matthew

"S-sorry." I start scratching the back of my head when Lenyth asks me not to stare and look away, I can feel my cheeks turning red.

"But yeah you would probably be better off trying to avoid that chick," I say quickly trying to change the subject "after all, I'm guessing she went after you because she thought you looked like an easy target, and I'm guessing you don't know much in the ways of self defense."

"Well anyways I've got a table over there if you want to join me after you get some food," I start. "I'll be back over there soon as I get some new chopsticks."

After I finish talking I head off to get some new chopsticks before Lenyth really has the chance to answer. Man that was kind of awkward.

Ugh, I ran into someone. Hm, oh, it's the idiot with the shitty pickup line. I'll have to think of a way to play with him in the future. Well he's not content to stick around, but neither am I to be honest. "Heheh" I let out the small chuckle as I get outside. "Totes worth it. I'll probably need to be more careful though. That guy, I can't go toe-to-toe with him." I continue to think aloud. "Maybe he's a bodyguard?"



Len
------

I simply nod as he walks off. I hurry and acquire some soup with toast and tea, and join Mr. Matt at the table. "Um..." I speak up. "I wouldn't normally cry you know." I know it sounds asinine, but I feel compelled to defend my embarrassment. "I mean, I'm used to taking verbal beratement from angry people. I just was not as composed as I should have been."

Matthew

I finish my bowl when Lenyth says she wouldn't normally cry in that situation, and toss my chopstick on the table next to the broken pair from earlier. "Well you've had a rough couple of days, I mean between your not feeling well earlier, getting locked out of your room yesterday, and having a strange man in a towel proposition you for a pen," I say in a more playful tone, trying to cheer her up "hell I'd probably of handled that situation a lot worse than you did if it was me in your shoes there."

Granted, my way of handling it would of probably ended up with someone not being conscious by the end of the situation, but I'll go ahead and leave that bit to myself. "Anyways no to dwell on the matter too much." I respond as I take a drink of my beverage I have totally had this entire time "Everyone walked away from the situation alive, so we can all learn something from it I guess."

Glover

Seems like she took notice of me, if just for a moment, as I overhear her chuckle as she walks past me. Feeling oddly provoked, , not once looking back, but loud enough to get my point across. Somewhat. If she doesn’t like me, fuck it then. Make it blatant that I don’t like her either. I take my spot in line, grab a slice of pizza and a cold soda pop, and plop myself down on a table. Why am I in such a sour mood right now? Strings takes rejection just fine, but why the hell can’t I? I angrily take a bite of my pizza, feeling awfully unlike myself tonight. I know a few of my friends are here right now but I really can't be bothered.

"Is that so?" I respond, albeit not entirely convinced. Mr. erm I mean Glover just plopped down at the table, he does not look pleased himself. Although I do not imagine myself to be the sight of conviviality at the present I lean in towards him. "Ah good evening, G-glover." I still feel ill at ease speaking a name with no honorifics. "Did something happen to cause you such consternation?" I lean back in my chair. "Forgive me, I did not mean to intrude upon your personal space."

Suddenly feeling empty as a result of what happened just now, I sigh as I swallow my food. “Len, Matt, what’s up?” I rub my temples a bit, then speak up again. “It’s okay, you’re not invading my personal space. Just a bit frustrated.” I glance over in Page’s direction. I don’t understand how it’s just natural for this guy to talk to just about anyone and manage to befriend them so easily. I turn my attention back to Len and Matt, let out a bitter chuckle then scratch my head. “Sorry, I’m just rambling now. How are you two holding up?”
