Page & Glover (Page's POV) -----------
As I'm playing my guitar, I realize that there's a line in the student lounge for a reason. Shit. I completely forgot that today was club and elective sign ups. Dammit! I wonder if Glover knows too. I take out my phone and frantically punch in his number. The dial tone is annoying right now, but I don't care. Glover needs to know, and now.
"Hello...?" A tired voice moans out.
"Bino, today's elective signups. Did you sign up?"
"Shit man, I'm up now. I'll meet you at the lounge."
"Cool, see you in a few." I hang up. Well at least we're in this shit together. Better than going it alone, right?
(Glover's POV) -----------
A frantic phone call from Page later, I'm running out of my dorm like a madman. I'm running through the rain, but I couldn't really give less of a shit right now. I swear I see silhouettes of a couple of dudes on the field playing soccer, but I have no time to channel my inner Ronaldinho right now. I need to get these sign ups out of the way!
After a bit of running in the rain, I bowl the door of the student lounge open and see the line amassing, but not much. At the end of the line, Page is beckoning me to come over, so I make my way there. He eyes me intently for a bit, noticing my lightly dampened appearance as well as my heavy breathing as a result of my running. "Good timing, line's still relatively short, so we can get these damn signups out of the way." After a few minutes, we're at the desk, signing our forms. I choose Ground and Fire, while Page unsurprisingly chooses Grass and Psychic. Stepping away from the line, we both sign in relief.
Page speaks up as we take a seat at the tables. "Thank God I remembered. We would've been boned if I hadn't." Page is ecstatic, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't either. I acknowledge his deed. "Yeah man, good timing on that phone call. I was having the weirdest dream, man."
Page raises an eyebrow at my statement. "Really? What was it?" I rub my chin, trying to recall exactly what happened. I snap my finger, my memory returning to me.
"Okay, so I'm on this island somewhere, right? Think it was somewhere in Hoenn. I dunno. Anyway, so I'm just stranded on this island, and all of a sudden, this Altaria flies in. I get on its back and we're flying now. We're flying over the ocean and some land mass. Coulda sworn I saw a little village that was just floating on top of the water-"
"That sounds like Pacifidlog Town in Hoenn" Page interjects. He goes through his phone and shows me a photo. It looks surprisingly identical to the place I just described.
"That's a real place? Damn. I might just visit that place one day for a vacation or something. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, so I'm just flying on the back of this Altaria. All of a sudden it divebombs itself into the damn ocean, knocking me off its back and right into the water."
Page's eyes widen. "Shit man. What then?"
I shake my head and sigh. "You know what happens? The Altaria pops up out of the water, looks at me for a second, then flies away. All of a sudden, a pack of wild Sharpedo ambush me and rip me to shreds...I think that's when I started hearing my phone ring."
Page shakes his head in disbelief, looking at me like I'm crazy. "That's crazy, man. You on some shit or what?" He asks as he chuckles. I make a baffled expression as I look at him. "Nah man. Last time I was high was back in Castelia last summer. Remember the Ludwig brothers' party?" The Ludwig brothers were a pair of siblings who had the same name, so we grew accustomed to addressing them by their initials growing up; Ludwig Bernard or "LB" was the elder, Ludwig Johannes or "LJ" was the little brother. We were all really close.
Page points at me excitedly. "Yeah, yeah! Their parents weren't home right? And LB scored some gnarly bud for the night. Everyone was baked outta their fuckin' brains, man."
"Except for the brothers, you, and I. Everyone save for us was a lightweight. Can't say I wasn't tripping though."
Page nods. "Those were good times. I think that was where Charlotte and I hooked up, too." He sighs. "Time flies, man. You ever wonder where it all went?"
"Forward - not one step back. Every moment back home, it's frozen in time. All we can really do is reminisce." Page sighs, then nods. "Yeah." I know that sudden change in his tone. He's still tore up over Charlotte. He seems to have realized me noticing the change in his manner of speaking, so he smiles and changes the subject. "What happened in the garage with the Bella sisters that night?" I look around the lounge, making sure nobody is close enough to hear what I'm about to say. "So it went a little something like this..."
I go on to describe what happened that night. I'd go into detail about what I said but I don't wanna litter this thread with autobiographical pornography. Page's jaw looks like it's about to fall off and it's quite comical. "You're one lucky bastard, you know that?" I just straighten my tie. "I know."
