"Maybe she has," I shrug, doing what I can to ignore her second remark, "but I've always been good at reading people. Like emotions, and intentions. Stuff like that." His looks are a different story, though.
She starts her examination and I try to relax with my tea, which turns out to be hard with the look she gives me almost immediately. She then sighs and remove some feathers from Sierra, causing me to facepalm mentally. I should at least have given her a quick check myself after that crash, even if I knew I'd come here. I pride myself on taking good care of everyone, so it actually hurts a bit.
She also seems to be... curious about Rheese, judging by her facial expressions, but she doesn't say anything. He might have some scars I'd never find with my untrained eyes. Otherwise everything seems A-OK. I nod at her comment on Hank. I may have focused on the Steel attributes a bit much in preparation of the school year, it makes sense for him to be a bit restless.
As for deduction on Sierra, "More like she had everything to do with it. I'm just thankful that feathers are the only broken things." There's a clear snarl in my voice, as I put the teacup down and put my hands on my hips. "You know how she gets after coming back from a storm? Well, she got very excited to see me flying out to meet her. So excited that she couldn't wait to land." I shake my head a bit as I recall last night, still not fully believing it myself. "She literally jumped off of Puff in mid air! Crashed into Sierra and me and tried to give me hug. Take a wild guess as to how that went. I'm just glad Sierra managed to keep me airborne."
"You might want to look Puff over as well, by the way. She caught Alli when she fell off of Sierra, but I didn't see how and I doubt it was smooth. Seriously, had it been anyone aside from the two of us someone likely would've died." I take a breath to keep myself from getting too heated. "Though I doubt she would actually do that kind of 'stunt' with anyone else. We've done enough stunt flying way back when that she knows I know what to do. Doesn't stop me from being scared to death, though."
I slowly come to a stop, looking away into the distance, ending my ranting more vulnerable than I'd started it. Not that I'm afraid to admit that, but I've been so worried, then angry, then worried again, that I hadn't really given myself all that much thought. "Sorry about venting out on you like this." I say as look back at Lily. "I guess I needed it."
