Hi, how was your day? Really, some people can remember me, because I participate often in the forum (not the discord, too bad Maybe you don't understand why I make a forum for this, let me explain to you: It all started 3-4 years ago, and at this time, I starting playing on Minecraft with some friends, but for playing, I have to found a good name, so, i very love the system you can change your "skin" or costume in french so easily, so I'll take the name of "misterskin". But time pass... And people talk to me skin is most use to determinate that thing you have all over your body to protect the muscles and your organs. So, for the "born-english-talkers", is that true? Then I'm about to think my name be a bit "creepy", no? So this is the real question: My name is really creepy? For you it need to be changed or you have never see a problem with my name? Thanks for those who responded. |

It can mean both. That's the problem with the English language (and most languages in general, actually), a single word could have multiple wildly different meanings. I wouldn't say "Misterskin" is creepy. It sounds like the name of the villain from a B-list slasher movie, so perhaps a tad on the stranger side, but I'm not one to talk about strange names. I say keep it if you like it. Don't let a couple of weirdos on the web tell you what names you can go by just 'cause they take things too literally or out of context. |

On one hand, your username is also the name of an adult website. If someone were to google your name, and they don't have safe search on, they would be directed to that. People who haven't seen this particular thread might think that you are showing your love for that website. On the other hand, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Names don't really matter. You have posted enough here so that we know you are a normal person. If you like the name, that's all that really matters! I'm sure no one here thinks less of you for your name. |
