Duke (Siel's Arcanine)

I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock and reach over lazily to turn it off. I move into a sitting position and stretch as I look out the window. Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day again. I move to the bath room and take a quick shower before putting on my finest suit and get my paperwork together. After I get everything I leave my room and head off, it is the first day of class after all, wouldn't do for the teacher to be late.

I get to the classroom about thirty minutes before class starts to get everything set up and make sure I have the list of students ready to take attendance. After everyone files in I stand up and address the class.

"Good morning everybody, and let me welcome you to your first year here at Kobukan Academy. My name is Duke and I will be your instructor here in the ground elective class. Now before we get started I will be taking attendance, so please say here and raise a hand when I call your name."

I finish taking attendance, then grab the controller for my slide presentation off of my desk. "Now then, I'm sure all of you have interest in ground types to some extent, seeing as you decided to sign up for this class. So we will be going over some of the basic's of ground types today." I clear my throat before going onto the next slide. "The first thing to consider is that attacks of the ground type cannot hit a flying pokemon, so when up against something like, oh lets say a Swellow for example, using ground types is generally ineffective and in this case you would be better off switching out to another type, like oh I don't know, lets just say fire for example."

I take a quick drink from the water bowl on my desk before continuing with my presentation. "Now overall ground type pokemon generally boast a high physical power, both offensively and defensively. That is pretty nice, but they don't have much resistance even to types that they deal large damage to, like for example we will go back to fire types. Now odds are with your average fire type you will be boasting a high special attack as well as a pretty solid speed stat. Ground type pokemon have a decent special defense, but they tend to be lacking in speed. Have your fire type drop a quick will-o-wisp to burn the ground type lowering the damage output from those earthquakes, pair that up with a morning sun, and watch as that helpless ground type pokemon slowly burns itself to death."

As I finish my short lecture the bell rings. "Alright class before you go I would like to leave you with one last quick bit of advice for this year. When picking the ground type Pokemon that is right for your team, make sure to do plenty of research and go with a fire type instead." I stand by the door as the students leave, and notice quite a few of them seem really excited after my lesson for the day. This is going to be a great year.

I wake up to the sound of my alarm and reach over trying to find my phone. Eventually I sit up to be able to actually lay eyes on it to shut it off. I let out a yawn as I get out of bed and change into proper attire for teaching, then brush my teeth before heading out. On the way out I can't help but look over at Duke. He is currently laying on the floor halfway off of his cushion he sleeps on, completely on his back with his feet kicking in the air. Dude must be dreaming I think to myself as I leave the room and head towards the rec. center. Gotta go check on Padra and the pool.

After finishing my little performance, it seems the class appreciated it, so I get a bit of a standing ovation. I rise from my seat and give a little bow. As I eye the applauding students, I manage to catch a glimpse of a couple of girls whispering amongst themselves and smiling whenever I look in their direction. Nice, I might like this elective after all. Eventually, the applause dies down and everyone is back to socializing with each other, though I can feel some of the students looking at me. My hunch is right, as I get a tap on the shoulder here, a note over there. Not to toot my own horn, but I guess I’m the most popular kid in this elective, at least. Though, I can’t help but wonder, when the hell is Ramos coming back?

Zak (and Marshal)

"Kiotsuke!" The teacher shouts. He proceeds to introduce himself as Marshal while he breaks a piece of wood with his hand. What a showoff, and he wants us to call him sensei. I sigh, not exactly what I expected OR wanted. "If you train like me, your reflexes will be sharper than a kirikizan, and strong enough to lift a golonya! And now, first step is to measure your ginō, your skill! And the best way to do that is by either fighting or watching someone fight, that's why we'll go outside and spar!" Fight, yes yes yes! This guy is pretty weird and I don't get half of what he's saying, but at least I'll get to fight. We follow Marshal outside, and he makes a bunch circles in a grassy area outside.
Then Marshal stays in the middle and looks at us without saying anything, some of the people in here look scared, heh, why did they even choose fighting if they don't want to FIGHT. Then he explains the rules, the objective is to knock down the enemy or throw them off the circle.

Then, Marshal looks at me, and points. "You! Zak-kun! You will fight against... Bellona-kun!"
Oh ho ho... Interesting. "With pleasure." I respond. I walk inside the circle with confidence, and wait for Bellona to come. "Don't worry, I'll go easy on ya...
Bellona-Chan." I let out a small chuckle and position myself, ready for her to come at me. Meanwhile, Marshal goes around the area designating sparring partners, I see that Matt got paired with someone I don't know, not like I know anyone else in here anyways.

Diana

There were just a handful of us. I wasn't too surprised.
One, quite an upbeat girl had a Deino. That was quite interesting, I had never seen one in person before. She claimed to be a draconic. Huh, who would've guessed? Clair seemed to be impressed. Once everyone's pokemons were out, Clair started examining them. My Bagon, this one girl's Deino, one of the guys had a Dragonair, someone had a Druddigon, and there was a Vibrava and a Noibat too. She handled them very well, and none reacted too badly by her touch. She passed by each one of them and commented something about them. ''This Deino seems very strong and surprisingly well trained, obedient. I'd say that it's a tad bit too reserved, aggressive though. Should look into that, it could be caused by something. Possibly it's personality type, but it still can and will hinder his progression in some way eventually'' Clair said as she was done with Deino, and moved to the Noibat ''The Noibat is fine otherwise, but it seems a little bit scared, or rather looks like it lacks confidence.

It also seems a little bit under-weight. Nothing too bad'' she told and moved to the next, that being the Druddigon ''This one is pretty huge. That wouldn't be a bad thing, but I'd say she seems a little bit clumsy. That can easily be worked on though. Strength she has for sure, just in need of battle experience and agility if you ask me. No other comments to be made, seems really fine'' Clair expresses and now it is Bagon's turn. ''This one seems pretty energetic, and it weights quite a bit. Seems like it is very close to evolving, actually. Looking at it, I can see it's well trained in other aspects, but is also lacking battle experience. Seems like it has quite the potential, just like that Deino. Although this one seems pretty soft, needs to toughen up a little bit'' She tells, and I sigh. That's all true, I sighed because I was just a bit stressed about this. It went well then, I suppose.
''This Vibrava seems to have issues to focus, it's very hyperactive. No health problems or anything, it seems pretty average over all. I see it has a fair bit of battling experience, but it would seem to me that it's wings are on the weaker side. Next'' Clair says and finishes up with Dragonair. ''Interesting. As far as potential and experience goes, it's on the higher end of the average fairly. But it really seems injured, I'm sure you know of this though. Hope the injury manages to heal up/get fixed. Seems pretty bad. The way it acts is a bit weird, but nothing to be concerned of I'd say'' She says and walks towards the door of the class. ''Out and about then, lesson over. We'll do something more useful next time, I just wanted to get this out of the way'' Clair says as she walks off. Guess she let us a few minutes early then.
I start packing my things as I think about how it's already been 3 hours of studying today.

I'm swimming laps, alternating between swimming styles meanwhile Kingdra and Politoed spar each other on the side. They try not to make too much ruckus, so everything doesn't get messed up. Swimming is quite relaxing, it helps me get my day going. I'll have my first class in the afternoon, I think to myself. Will be interesting, I hope.

Duke

I mostly talked about the basics, and told that in my class we focus on the theory at first - then move on to practicality, so it can be slightly boring for some who are more action thirsty at first.
I asked quite a few questions from the students, the most important one being that what Ground-type pokemon was their favorite. I listed this up as they answered, and kept the answer to myself. The favorite pokemon of theirs of such type usually reflected their personality a little bit, so I had a better chance of knowing them as students if I knew it. Other than that nothing much went on, and the class was soon to be over. I let the students off, and laid back in my chair for a bit. I was considering that maybe I should actually start vaping, that'd be better than cigs. I grinned and rubbed my chin as the thought crossed my mind.

Matthew

I sighed internally as the teacher for the fighting elective led us outside to pair off and spar. This is gonna be a long year with a teacher like this guy.

When we get outside he begins to pair us off for sparring partners. It doesn't take a genius to notice the guy I'm up against is clearly a novice when it comes to martial arts. He definitely isn't anywhere near my level of skill and training, but that isn't saying much as I feel like Zak may be the only person in thus class that could give me an actual challenge.

My partner and I bow to each other before taking our stances. Man is his stance sloppy, he's leaving himself wide open in so many different areas. We close the gap between each other and he goes for the first strike. I easily deflect his attack and retaliate with a quick low kick. It isn't much of an blow, but it does allow me to land the first attack. He clearly doesn't like that fact as he moves from a defensive stance to one with far more emphasis on offense, however he still lacks the proper training to land a single decisive blow.

I continue to deflect his attacks and study his pattern and attacks. After a few moments I notice that his round kicks toward my torso not only lack the proper follow through to be of any threat, but the extension on them also leaves his own torso completely open. Biding my time I wait for another body kick. Sure enough he goes for it again, and when he does I move back slightly, allowing for his kick to make contact, but only at the point where it has lost all momentum. After his kick connects I deftly grab his leg at the ankle, twist slightly throwing him off balance, then follow with a straight kick to his stomach. I make sure not to put enough force behind the kick to cause any real harm, but enough to easily keep him from coming back at me.

Bellona

My eyes glitter in wonder as I see Marshal chop a piece of wood in half! I'm certain I could do so the same, but this teacher was going to be my "sensei" for the next year, and he was definitely strong, plus every hero DOES have that one person who teaches them the ropes, maybe Sensei could be that person for me?

I step onto a ring that Sensei sets up to fight off Penguin Grunt, who promises to go "easy" on me. I look to my side and see that while Sensei looks everywhere, he is standing so close to us! If I could only catch his attention with something... but what? Maybe finish the battle with me uppercutting my grunt through the roof? No, I would definitely lose a grunt and scare off other potential allies. My amazing ideas are suddenly cut off when Penguin Grunt charges straight at me.


Frog

Claire inspects our Pokemon, and as she approaches me, I hold onto Dragonair tight. I could've sworn she recognized me, but in the end, it seems she didn't. Whew. She gives me a couple words, to which I simply nod to. I really don't need her scolding me like she did the one time I made Dratini train in the Ice Cavern for about a month. I was much dumber back then, but I clearly remember her telling me that she felt bad for any Dragon, nay any Pokemon that I would ever raise. After she left I felt my anger rising. I hated the fact that I was such a dumbass when I was younger and I hated that I didn't listen to her. I let it fall off of me and have Dragonair go back into her Pokeball, to which she refuses, and instead decides to goof around in the class. Great. I take a seat, "She's just feeling active." I say out loud to myself as I take a seat near the place where Draonair is sniffing around for things to possibly throw at me. I wait as the other students shuffle around, probably heading to gym class, guess I'll be late today. I sigh and put my head down. My day was going way too horribly, I didn't know what could possibly make it worse.

Chloe

Like many other people in the class, I feel a little bit intimidated when Anne tells the class about her heritage. If she wanted to she could probably buy this whole school right now. The sub moves onto other people in the class while Anne greets me. "Uh hi, nice to meet you too, Anne." It looks like Ulna's finally waking up so I introduce him too "Oh by the way, this is Ulna, he's from the Day Care too. So you're from Undella Town? I've never heard of that place. What's it like?"

"Never get distracted!" I shout at her while I run and side kick her at the torso, when she immediately blocks the attack with her arm and tries to counter, unsuccessfully of course. She turns more and more aggressive, accelerating her punches and sometimes switching it up with a kick.
It's not hard to dodge, but she doesn't let me breathe. "Want me to slow down?" As I say that
I attack her with a low kick, trying to get her off her feet, but I don't have the sufficient strength to do it. She's either really heavy or strong, and I would prefer the latter. Heh, at least it's good exercise. After that low kick I slide under her and position myself behind her. I'm starting to get tired, better end this soon or she'll catch me. I run back and then go straight at her, I jump and push kick her in the torso, to find she grabbed my leg. We stare at eachother for a moment, I smile and chuckle.

Clair comes next to me and tells me to get my pokemon out. Man, Clair looks really intimidating...
I let Ragna around and she analizes her. Clumsy eh, yeah I guess that's right. Then, she lets us out as the bell rings. But I can't help but think about that girl, Tiara I think it was from the role call?
I need to ask her about that crystal ball. I wait outside the class until I see her leaving.
"Hey! I um, I'll get straight to the point. Did you say... You are a draconid? Like, the ones from Hoenn, and all. And you use crystal balls?! And and... You don't know about pokeballs?!" I feel like I'm going way too fast, but, my curious nature demands it! I can't let that opportunity get away! I show her my pokeball, since it seems she doesn't know about them. Then I remember. "Oh, right, I didn't tell you my name, I'm Trajan, from Sinnoh, nice to meetcha!" I offer my hand.

I brush myself off then help my sparring partner back to his feet. He wasn't a bad fighter, but he clearly hasn't been tr aining for very long or very deligently. I turn back to see how Zak is doing in his fight just in time to see the blue haired loud girl from homeroom catching his kick. Well, looks like there might be two students at this school worth fighting.

My face blush a little for the sort amount of time I look at Ulna. "Greeting, Ulna." I look back at her. "Undella town, mh? It's quite calm. It's mostly a vacation site for most people around. The beach is nice, and the water is always crystal clear." Looks like the presentations of everyone is almost over. I suppose nothing much is going to happen in this class from now on.

I start to set up the lights and systems around. Mirage System, eh. That is very useful. I'll have to use it a lot, so I hope it wont break anytime soon.
I look around. Now that I think about it, I didn't have the time to thank Lillith. I'll have to do that later on. I'll have to prepare the Music Club Room. I'll see about that if I see that Page or Glover around during the gym class.

The noise is annoying. Why can't their mind shut up for a while? After a small warning about how dangerous ghost pokemons can be, I just can't take it anymore. "This will be all for today. We'll see each other on the next day. Dismiss."
