Duke -------- ''Alright then, names have been called. Now let's move onto the next thing. I won't be giving you guys any tests just yet, or notes to write. But you may write notes, and in fact; I encourage you to do so'' I say, as I move around in the class, whilst looking around if anything shady is going on, or if anyone is sleeping just yet. ''However, I will be personally interviewing each and every one of you later on, asking about your motives, plans and wishes and such'' I tell with a bright expression. Then I move back towards the front of the class and sit down behind my table. I notice that a fair bit of people are focused on the cart, and I tell them not to focus on it just yet. I tell em that they will see what is in there if they don't know already soon enough. I then adjust my glasses and have a good look at the students once again. ''We won't be going through much of raw information just today, but I'll be answering questions and what not, and explaining things. We'll get to do something, don't worry'' I say with a a grin on my face, although it's a harmless, rather friendly looking one. I see some people look slightly worried, probably thinking about the pass rate.
''If you happen to be thinking about how many students on average pass, I'll tell you this: don't sweat it. Now all of you might not pass, but every single one of you DO have the potential to pass. This depends exactly on how much you are willing to work. I don't have any strict criteria, but I do have some rules that we go by in here'' I say first in assuring manner, then tell them about the rules and open up a slideshow on a huge TV monitor that I have on the back of the class, above me. It tells some basic things, reminds of the curriculum of the classes and what not. Then next there appears a page that has numbers an something written, basically rules on it. ''These rules, that are specific to my class, I want all of you to remember by Friday. There could be a pop quiz about them, possibly'' I say in sarcastic manner and smirk towards the end of the sentence.
Rules: 1 - Treat EVERYONE else in an acceptable manner. Pokemons, teacher, your peers and so on. Even the class room equipment.
2 - The homework that is assigned WILL be done. There might not be all that much, but what will be I HIGHLY recommend you to get done before the deadline, whatever that may be for the specific work. If you have any issues with them, you are free to ask anyone. I don't recommend cheating on them, because that won't work on most and it won't amount to much of anything.
3 - Understand that everyone has their own way to teach and to learn.
4 - Banter, jokes and such are allowed, but don't go overboard. BUT bullying is something you won't get away with if it is found out on. And trust me, more than likely you will be found out if that happens to be the case.
5 - Pay attention to the teaching, or at least act as if you did.
6 - You are allowed to wear hats, headphones and such, even use phones but don't dwell too much on them or they can be seized for some time, usually not without a warning though.
7 - Don't jeopardize others or severely bother teaching or them trying to focus, learn.
8 - The sitting order can be changed, it isn't static yet. Spots can be changed if problems arise.
9 - You can consult me, no, you should (usually) if you have a problem, or are in need of help. Questions are not frowned upon, and curiosity isn't a sin.
10 - Follow the goddamn rules.
After letting those sink in for a while, I add: ''You may take a picture if you prefer that over notes, the main thing is that you learn them.'' I look at the clock, and one hour has passed. We don't have breaks in my class usually, unless it is over 2 hours which would be a very rare case. Although I do have something planned for this hour - but first I say: ''Alright then, questions and what not?'' I say, and close my laptop and cough to the side, then adjust my glasses and look for rising hands.
