I head back to my room to use my personal PC to get some Pokemon transferred out. Since classes are starting soon I wanna get Raichu back, as well as Nidoking for some training. I decide to let Locke out of his ball and to run around a bit since he'll be starting up his work as my assistan soon enough, and send Manetric back to the professor since I won't have time to train him much for awhile.

After getting my team of six set up I head over to Lilly's office and knock on the door before entering.

"Hey Lil', got time to look at my team?" I ask, hoping she isn't aware I'm supposed to be doing sign-ups right now.


Matthew

I listen as she explains the training of dragon types to me. I already knew a little bit of what she was saying, but some of it was new information to me and interesting to learn.

"Yeah not surprised to hear you say you're taking the dragon class," I laugh a little. "Personally I know I'm taking the fighting elective, haven't really decided what to do for the other one, maybe fire. As far as clubs I'm thinking the outdoors club just to get outside and then a sport of some sorts, probably soccer, since it will help me a lot with my foot work." I pause for a moment before continuing on, staring off in the distance a bit. "I also am looking to join the battle team myself, I actually ran into a teacher that gave me some tips on how to join. Said that winning other tournaments and competitions of sort will help, other than that you basically have to be scouted to join."

I stop staring off and turn to Diana and smile. "I doubt I'll be able to make it for quite a while either, but since we're both looking to try to join if you ever need a training partner I'd be willing to help."

When I turn and look at her I can't help but notice she is staring at me. More specifically the scar on my cheek. "Yeah it's a bit of an eyesore isn't it?" I joke. "got it while sparring, weaved when I should of ducked." I lie, trying my best to remain straight faced and cool.

I glance up and see Siel. "Hm, Sure I have some time." I turn around and pull his file. Oh that's right I need a new one for his Umbreon. I pull out a sheet from my desk. "Take a seat, I'm sorry I don't have any tea ready."

First up is Botan. Raichu is actually a pretty rare Pokemon for a trainer to own, Pikachu are exceptionally shy, and thunderstones aren't easy to come by. I take out a multimeter and lightly press the probes against her cheeks. I open her mouth and check her teeth. Her coat looks fine. I scribble down some notes.

Next up, ah the Umbreon. Sid I believe. I write down all my initial observations as well as noting that it's genetically perfect. Nothing has really changed in a day. Her coat looks good, wonderful shade of blue.

Next is Jolteon, I wonder why he never got a nickname. Well he's always happy enough. I pick two quills and press the probes against them. I carefully sift through his quills. I always love examining Eevee. They are probably my favorite Pokemon to deal with. Actually...ah I get it. I scribble down some notes.

Now we have Zuul, was it. I don't get the opportunity to examine many Luxray, owing to the fact that many people don't like it's lack of physical moves and lower than average special attack. Still, I can tell that she tries her best. Initially I had no idea how to check Luxray, turns out that their canines are isolated from the rest of their teeth. I touch the probes to her teeth. I write down the information.

Nidoking. I feel like my cheeks get slightly redder. I can't even bring myself to think that name or I'll start giggling. I check his horn, claws, and teeth. He looks to be healthy. His spines and plates look in shape. Looks like he could use a bit of exercise though.

Duke, Duke, Duke. Arcanine are very temperamental when it comes to people who aren't their owners, I'm glad I've never had to deal with that though. He looks fine, although a little depressed, probably from the weather. His claws and teeth are fine too. I finish my notes and then signal Locke to hop up.

Sneasel are really cute. It's not actually that uncommon for a Pokemon to refuse evolving, but most trainers still convince their Pokemon to evolve. I check his claws. His coat feels right. This is another Pokemon that pranked me once, and then never again. I'm still not sure if it's because of fear or pity. I pat him on the head.

"They all appear to be doing quite well. Duke looks a little bummed out, I imagine it's because of the rain. Your...Nidoking...looks like he needs some exercise. Oh and your Jolteon appears to be very nervous. Quite shaken, if I were to guess...I think he thinks you're planning on replacing him with Sid."

Siel

"No worries," I say as I take off my jacket and hang it up, hoping it won't drip too much "I'm not really all that thirsty right now anyways.

I sit down and watch as Lilly checks out all my Pokemon. I laugh as she gets to Nidoking's files and her face starts to turn red, happens every time.

When she finishes up I sit back and wait to here her report. I pat Duke on the head as she tells me the weather is making him feel a little down, and give Nidoburrito a look when she tells me he could use a workout, guess who's running some laps with me tomorrow. I'm a bit shocked to here what she has to say about Jolteon though.

"Aww, poor buddy, come here," I call Jolteon over to me and start scratching him behind his ear. "No one is ever gonna replace you buddy, okay? I just want to experiment with training some other Pokemon as well from time to time, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna forget about you, Alright?" I ask him. He seems happier, but I'll still have to spoil him some soon. Probably take him for a run whenever this weather clears up.

"Thanks for the checkup." I say as I turn back to Lilly. "So how are you doing? Last night you looked like you were about to fall over."

"It has been a long few days, and more long days are coming." I put the folder back in the cabinet. "It would seem that a research lab was attacked recently." I turn back around and frown at Siel. "So they're sending the Pokemon to various locations that will be harder to track, and better defended. We're one of the lucky locations." I let out a sigh.

Siel

"No way!" I say almost jumping out of my chair, "do you know what we're going to be getting? Are you gonna be allowed to breed them?" Man this could be our first chance to see some of the Pokemon from Alola region in person. After all they did only recently join the United Regions, allowing for the exporting and importing of Pokemon.

I look at Lilly and see she has a less than impressed look on her face. Of course she wouldn't be as excited since this would mean even more work for her. "Well if you need another set of hands when they get here let me know. I'm willing to help out anyway that I can."

"The roster we are receiving is largely to remain on a need to know basis." I am trying to impress the seriousness of the situation. I let out a sigh after a few moments. "That being said...I was able to get permission to breed one or two of the Pokemon we are receiving..." A slight smile sneaks onto my face.

Siel

I see a smile start to form when Lilly tells me she's allowed to breed a few of the Pokemon that will be in the school's care. However she also tells me the Pokemon are on a need to know basis.

"I'm guessing the swim coach/electric leader isn't on that list of needs to know." I say sadly. Then stop and think for a second. "You don't happen to already have habits and enclosures built for all these new guys though do you? Because if not, i happen to know a certain steel worker/electrician/mechanic that would be more than happy to assist in those endeavors." I say with a smirk.

"I'm not sure what I will need yet. I haven't received the full roster yet." I tilt my head. "Not all of the Pokemon we're receiving will be Alolan. There are also several genetic conditions that are in research as well you know. If I need help I'll let you know though." I can see his disappointment, I guess it won't hurt since I was going to tell Sefi anyways. "Keep this a secret, yeah? I'll let you in on another secret. One of them is a Rowlet." I lower my voice to a whisper for the last part.

Siel

That's amazing. We could be the very first academy in the United Regions to have a Rowlett on our campus, and if she manages to breed it that will be even more amazing.

"Awesome," I say. "If you manage to breed that guy I think we all know someone who will be begging for one." I laugh a little before continuing. "Granted if a certain super adorable puppy ends up on that list I can't say I wouldn't be doing the exact same thing."

"All that aside, you heard the first part right? Keep your ears open, the team that attacked the lab will surely be searching for Pokemon, and that means we could be targeted." I don't doubt that we have the offensive prowess to repel such an attempt, but we still have inexperienced students.
