Hello, Hyun here,
and welcome to "Hyun's Pocket TV"
The Subject of this topic is simple and clean.
I take a random pokemon with Random.org, and I write about it based on his pokedex definition and his appearances in the manga or in the anime. You are probably aware that it will spoil. Well, not Sun and Moon, but all the previous things.
I will post One up to three subject per day:
Monday: Pokemon
Tuesday: Pokemon
Wednesday: Pokemon
Thursday: Personality / NPC in Pokemon
Friday: Theory
Saturday: Location
Sunday : Location
I hope you will enjoy reading.

List of all the pokemons so far:

#67 Machoke: the Superpower Pokemon.
#144 Articuno: The Freeze Pokemon
#147 Dratini: The Dragon Pokemon
#201 Unown: The Symbol Pokemon
#206: Dunsparce: the Land Snake Pokemon
#341: Corphish: the Ruffian Pokemon

List of all the NPCs so far:
Looker

#201 Unown: The Symbol Pokemon (Of course, I went random so IT HAD to be that one.)
________________________________

Unown often appears in mysterious places like the Tanobi Chambers, Solaceon ruins, or Mirage Caves. First report about their existence is in the ruins of Alph.
However, it was reported they had their own dimension, the Unown Dimension.
The most curious thing about them isn't the fact that they are shy and likes to place themselves on walls, but the fact they are ancient and rare. No one know wich of the Alphabet or them appeared first.
They are known to communicate between each other through Telepathy, but Prof. Oak disagree, and claims that they communicate through electromagnetic waves and are not able to use psychic powers. This theory hold as a proof the fact that we can hear some of the noise they make when listening to the radio in the Ruins of Alph.

Something that is obvious and not a theory, is that they are heavily related to Legendaries, as they appear very often near the Sinnoh Legendaries. They are here during Arceus Event, right before he launch his powerpoint animation [Spoiler Alert! ]

The Unown alphabet is used by a tribe that used to live in the Ruins of Alph, but they are used in many places. What links them to our world? Why are they so much related to Arceus? Why almost no trainer in the world use them? How come that they have their own dimension? Who are the descendant of the tribe that lived with them? Many theories are around, and maybe I'll do one later on, but that's for another time.

Hello, Hyun here,
And welcome again to "Hyun's Pocket TV"

I will now have a special schedule for those. Please check the Edit in the first post for more information.

Anyway, today's an incredible day.

#144 Articuno: The Freeze Pokemon
_______________________________

Some legendaries exists in many samples, some not. Articuno is a mystery. While there is no proof or story about many Articunos, It is said that it have a nest in every cold place and in all the highest mountains in the world. If it's moving, then it means it's just moving to another nest.
However, one certain thing, is that Articuno is a kind legendary. Based on the rumors in the anime and in the differents manga, Articuno guides lost travelers to safety. In one of those manga, an Articuno have the reputation to spirit away the souls of the lost travelers, while in fact it just holds a Snowcone shop atop of the mountain.
Another interesting fact is his mastery of Ice. Yes, we all know that he can control Ice at his will. Being next to him equals to always have cool air! Very useful in summer. However, more important, he can feel the Ice. In Pokemon Mystery dungeon: Red Rescue Team, he complains that he can hear and feel the Snow Forest's pain. He is, in consequence, heavily related to the ecosystem.
In the Manga, he is known for being friendly, and hates fight. He even encased himself into an Ice block to prevent any conflict against Team Rocket. Halas, he was still caught, and ended up as Thu-Fi-Zer, but that... We'll tell more about it another time.

Hello, Hyun here,
And welcome again to "Hyun's pocket TV"

And today we shall start with a non legendary pokemon. (please note that Unown, based on what they are, could be considered as legendaries.)

#147 Dratini: The Dragon Pokemon
_______________________________

Dratini, wich evolves into dragonair at level 30, was considered as a mythical pokemon. Called "The Mirage Pokemon" at first, he was the subject of many stories. People mostly ever saw its shed skin, that he tend to hide behind waterfalls. With such a cautious method, no wonder people exploring waterfalls were curious and started to gossip about them.
This legend dropped when scientists discovered a colony of them underwater.
Its body is full of life energy, causing him to be able to grow over 6 feet. He have to shed his skin each time it grows, or else the life energy will reach uncontrollable levels.

In The Manga, Dratini appeared as a kind pokemon to Emerald, but was shown attacking Yellow once, even though it was stopped by red.

In The Anime, he first appeared in the Episode 35. A famous episode that almost no one ever heard about. Why? He was only aired on Asia. The reason? Firearm abuse by the Warden of the Safari. Indeed, during this episode, The Warden keeps menacing the group by pointing a gun at Ash's head. At one point, he even shot a few rounds to the Team Rocket!
But Dratini indeed is in the Safari, hidden and protected by the Warden. We can even see a Dragonair in this episode. But that... is another pokemon.

Image
And no, the warden isn't related to Brock.

Hello, Hyun here,
And welcome again to "Hyun's pocket TV"

As for the second pokemon of today, we will talk about a Ruffian.

#341: Corphish: the Ruffian Pokemon
________________________________

Corphish evolve in Crawdaunt level 30.
Small fact about Crawdaunt: He is the only pokemon with a catch rate set at 26,8% at full life, wich is pretty high.
Our friend the Crustacean have a very mysterious origin. At first, they were imported from an unknown foreign country as pets, but they turned up in the wild after a while. Thanks to their hardiness and the fact they are not picky eaters, they are able to survive even in polluted areas. They are very dangerous since they could eat anything, and most dangerous point, is that they tend to never release it's prey with their pincers, wich are very strong.

Image
That gotta hurt.

In the anime, Corphish is the comic relief of Ash's team. He is the only pokemon from Hoenn that never evolved. (probably because Crawdaunt doesn't looks as derpy as Corphish is)
However, like in the manga, he doesn't have any major impact on the story.

In Mystery dungeon, Corphish is quite special. Indeed, he spend his time saying "Hey! Hey! Hey!"
While he isn't the fairy for some forest child, the reason for his love for "Hey!" is simple: his japanese name is pronounced Heigani.

Hello, Hyun here,
And welcome again to "Hyun's pocket TV"

This time, the two Pokemons will be in the same post.

#67 Machoke: the Superpower Pokemon.
___________________________________

Machoke is the evolution of Machop (level 28) and will Evolve by trade into Machamp.

This Pokemon with reptilians looks have a body of steel, but a heart of gold. it is modest and willingful to help people with his strength. With one hand, it can lift trucks. However, he holds a terrible secret: it's belt. Indeed, it sounds ridiculous, but it's a Power Save Belt. If he didn't had that, his power will be so out of hand it would be dangerous.
Yes it seems farfetch'd, but in other universes, some are known to do the same.

Image
Ring a bell?

Machoke have a lot of screen time in the anime, and appears also as a safeguard for the Viridian Gym in the manga. However, his appearances are always short, and thus not much could be say about him.

#206: Dunsparce: the Land Snake Pokemon
_____________________________________

Dunsparce. It doesn't evolve in anything, isn't the evolution of anything, and looks like slippers.
But at least, hey, those wings allows it to fly. A little bit.
It's tail, however, can be used to drill and dig. Dunsparces are known to have nests that looks like mazes.

There isn't much to say on Dunsparce. In the manga, it is just shown digging a tunnel. In the anime, it's "That-Pokemon-Ash-try-to-catch-two-times-but-cannot". Indeed, The first time Iris's Axew ran into ash and Dunsparce fled. And the second time? Ash didn't have any pokeballs.
Bad luck? Or lack of skill? Hey, at least Dunsparce is free.

Next time: One personality. But ooooh boy we'll have a lot to say about him.

Hello, Hyun here,
And welcome again to "Hyun's pocket TV"
Friendly reminder that it will contain spoilers about games, manga, and anime.

And Today, this is the NPC Spotlight, featuring Looker, the International Policeman.

Image
His name in Japanese means Handsome.

Looker is a member of the International Police, aka the Global Police. We only know two members of this police. One is looker, and the other one... You probably think you never saw him. Yet, you probably did. He appeared in Red/Blue/Green, and also in their remake.

Image
Dun dun duuuuuuun

We first encounter Looker in the Platinum Version. He speaks with a weird grammar, showing that he is indeed a foreigner. (Strangely, this isn't the case in japan.)
While we meet him all around the place and the region with his trustworthy Croagunk, he is mostly here to capture the leader of the Team Galaxy: Charon.
He is quite the professionnal in terms of disguise: Wether it is a team galaxy grunt, a smashable rock,or even your mom in Black and White, he sure is skilled.
He appear and have a major role in the side quest of XY, the Looker Bureau.
However, this is where we learn that his pokemon died in a previous case. (This might be the subject of a theory later on.)
In the end of the sidequest, he leaves the region, giving the "Looker" Codename to the player, promising he will ever be his partner.
But it seems that something didn't turn out well: In ORAS, after the league, in the Battle Resort, we meet an amnesic Looker, who forgot everything about who he is and what he had to do. Is this the end of Looker in the games? Only time will tell.

In the Anime, Looker is still a master of disguise.

Image
Looker in this picture is the left tree behind the Hiker. Just kidding, it's Ash. No seriously, he's the Hiker.

In the next episodes of the anime, while looking for the Team Plasma. He even convinced the Team Rocket to help him, thanks to the lunchboxes he offered to them when they were starving. This simple gift of lunchboxes earned him an extreme loyalty and the nickname of "Boxed-Lunch guy". They even helped him during the final fight against Team Plasma!

In the manga, it's not different. He is helping in the D/P/P events and in the BW events. He is known to use his Croagunk, and a lot of gadgets, wich are most of the time not very effective or not working.

Time to pick up the pace. Theories are long to do so might as well start with everything I'm late for except theories:

First of, two locations:

Kanto: The Mt Moon Square:

This is shown only in games Silver and Gold, and their remake. You have to go all the way up to Mt. Moon to reach it. There is a small shop selling drinks and small items. But that's not the most interesting place. Indeed, This place have a special location where clefairy use to do secret rituals, Monday night at 8:00 pm and Tuesday morning at 4:00 am when the full moon is up. (Those periods are the only one who have a full moon. That's quite the fast moon cycle, isn't it.)
In the first version of the game, they are dancing around the ONLY one smashable rock of all Kanto (Gen II). However they run when they see the player (Maybe they are planning to take over the world? Or maybe they're the responsible for making those smashable rocks appear all around the world?). That rock contains a Moon stone.

Image

However, in their remake, it's no longer a smashable rock. Instead, it's just a capsule containing a Moon stone. But hey this time they are 4.

Unova: Village of Dragons
______________________

To each region their own Dragon worshippers. In Unova, this is the Village of Dragon. It contains two statues: one of Zekrom and one of Reshiram. All of their citizen use Dragon type pokemons, and most of them are known to end up being Dragon Masters.
Their elder is known to be giving Axew to new trainers, like a professor.
In the game Black and White 2: The Memories of Drayden, he admit that he met Iris in the village of Dragons. And in X&Y there is a trainer that give the Dragon Tail TM82, he says that they used to teach it in the Village of Dragons.

BUT SUDDENLY HINTS BECOMES TROUBLED!
In the anime, the village of Dragons is in Unova...
But in the game it's supposed to be somewhere far away...
AND in the manga, during the Pokemon League, with Black facing Iris, it's revealed that the Village of Dragons is in fact Blackthorn City!

Curious, again it's in Johto. Is it me... or Johto have a lot of things related to all regions? Interesting.
